Shop Mechanic-CLE

Independence Excavating, based in Independence Ohio is currently seeking a Shop Mechanic for work at its construction equipment repair facility. Individuals applying must be a self starter, reliable and capable of following company safety rules. Minimum of 5 years experience required. Candidates with experience on Cat, Deere & Komatsu preferred although truck repair experience will be considered.

Job duties are to include: 

• Diagnosing and repair of Cat, Komatsu, Deere and Volvo Construction equipment. 
• Familiar with P.M. schedules and routine maintenance on Construction equipment. 
• Ordering and tracking needed repair parts and paperwork. 
• Stick and mig welding experience helpful. 

Interested applicants must possess the following: 

• Familiar with Diesel engines, Transmissions, Hydraulic and Electrical systems. 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision. 
• Good communication skills and safe work habits. 
• Ability to work overtime as job demands. 
• Candidate must have own tools.
