Lake County Hospital

Work is underway at Lake County’s new hospital in Concord Township. Independence Excavating is working with Gilbane Building Company to perform the project’s concrete package. Our scope of work includes concrete footers, formed foundation walls, slab-on-grade, and slab-on-deck pours. When completed, the finished product will be a 300,000 sf hospital serving the entire county’s wellness needs.

To date, this is the largest concrete job Independence Excavating has undertaken. The schedule has been condensed due to a rainy August and workers are trying to beat the arrival of structural steel on November 1st. Plus, the project is located in the heart of Ohio’s snowbelt where many winter concrete pours will take place. Even with the many challenges of this project, the growing concrete division is confident and excited about completing it on schedule.
