After a busy summer and fall of 2009, work
is substantially complete for the new SR 8 &
Seasons Road diamond interchange in the cities of
Stow and Hudson. The interchange opened to full
traffic on the morning of February 22, 2010.

Our contract with ODOT called for a completion
date of June 30. We are proud to say we were able
to finish four months ahead of the anticipated date, despite the fact of added work and an
unexpected extension of a settlement period. We
worked closely with both ODOT and the city of
Stow to facilitate this early opening. Because of
colder temperatures late last year, temporary paint
was applied for the pavement markings, which
enabled the early spring opening. The south
bound SR 8 entrance ramp originally called for a 4-month settlement period that actually ran over
by approximately two weeks. This impacted our
mainline paving schedule and required the work to
be performed later in the paving season. Despite
this challenge, we were able to coordinate with
all parties involved to re-mobilize and complete
this critical path activity allowing utilization of this
much needed improvement.
