Independence Excavating was contracted to complete demolition at the former DTE Shenango Coke Plant located on Neville Island, PA. Our crushing division mobilized to crush 50,000 tons of brick, block, and concrete generated from the demolition of the site. The debris was processed and crushed into a 4” minus aggregate that was used for various backfill applications to complete the site grading requirements.
